Application Form for JEE Main 2019 Released on NTA’s Official Website

JEE Main is known as the most profound engineering entrance exam providing admission in premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs) and CFTIs for UG courses such as B.Tech/BE and B.Arch/B.Plan.

Candidates seeking admission in any of these institutes are hereby informed that NTA (National Test Agency) has released notification regarding JEE Main 2019 on August 21, 2018. Along with this, online registration starts on September 1 and will end on September 30, 2018.

As, NTA will be conducting this exam for the first time, it has introduced some changes in the conduct of the exam. One of those is, that the application will be accepted only through online mode. There are no provisions for applying offline.

Here we will be discussing the application form, steps of filling up the application form etc. Following are the guidelines to fill up the application form of JEE Main 2019:-

  • New candidates who have not registered yet will first have to register at the official website of NTA.
  • In registration process, candidates need to fill the basic details such as name of the candidate, date of birth, email id and phone number.
  • After successful registration, candidates will get directed towards the application form where they will be filling their other details such as qualification details, personal details along with communication details.
  • Candidates will be uploading scanned images of photograph, signature and mother’s/father’s/guardian’s photograph in the format as prescribed by NTA.
  • Candidates are advised to follow the format strictly, failing which, the photographs will not get uploaded correctly and the application form will not get accepted.
  • Those candidates who belong to J&K, Assam and Meghalaya are also eligible to apply by providing their aadhar card number or ration card number or bank account number.
  • Candidates will also be given the opportunity of choosing exam cities according to which exam centers will be allocated to them.
  • Only one application can be filled by one candidate. Multiple applications from a single student will get rejected.
  • Candidates are advised to take a print out of the application form for future reference.
  • In the end, students have to pay the application fee (category wise) after which only the application will get accepted.
  • The registration fee will not get refunded in any case.
  • Payment for application fee can be made through credit card/debit card/net banking or by e-challan.

Along with this, JEE Main 2019 has an additional feature of application form correction which provides the students a one-time opportunity for making corrections in case any field has been incorrectly filled. The application correction will be functional from October 8 till October 14, 2018.  Students are thus advised to take best out of this opportunity.

But with form correction, there will be certain details which are not liable for editing such as name of the candidate, gender, date of birth and phone number.

Thus, while making amends in the JEE Main application form, care has to be taken as it will be the last chance to make corrections and after this, details entered will get confirmed.
